Surgery for breast augmentation
Dr. Oscar Porras will make small incisions in either the lower breast crease, along the nipple areolar complex, at the inframammary fold or in the axilla (underarm). The procedure usually takes 2 hours.
Aftercare for Breast Augmentation
A soft bandage is applied immediately following surgery and is maintained for three days afterwards. Within 3-4 weeks after your surgery, you will be fitted with either a surgical bra or a sports bra. Dr. Porras will see you for regular check-ups for at least one year.
How Does A Breast Lift Work?
Mastopexy, or breast lift, is a surgical procedure that elevates the nipple and lifts the breast. When a woman ages, her breasts sag because of weak ligaments. Breastfeeding and weight fluctuations can make this particularly difficult. In mastopexy, excess skin is removed from the breast and surrounding tissue is tightened to provide a more supportive and contoured breast. The breast is lifted to create a more youthful and aesthetic appearance by repositioning the nipple. Breast Lift Procedure
To elevate the nipple, Dr. Oscar Porras will make incisions to reshape the breast tissue and remove redundant skin. In order to support the breast, Dr. Porras will close the incisions layered deep within the breast tissue. Surgery usually takes three hours.
Breast Lift Aftercare
Breasts are wrapped in a soft bandage immediately after surgery. Three days are required to maintain the bandage. To minimize swelling, a surgical bra or sports bra can be worn after day 3. When can I expect to see the results of my breast lift? Immediately following your breast lift, you will see some results. For a few weeks, you may experience swelling that obscures your final results. Your results will improve as your body heals. Following Dr. Porras’ instructions regarding physical activities is crucial to achieving optimal results after breast lift surgery.
